Sahara West
Sahara West
One thing I’ve been thinking about lately is how much I like styles from the 1930’s-1950’s. Not necessarily everything about them, but I like the general impression and look of them, the colors, detail, and the “seriousness” of them if you will. I think a lot of what’s going on in my head is modernizing that sort of sensibility and transforming it into things I’d like to wear personally. So, with that in mind, I wanted to do a sort of safari, Indiana Jones, English Patient sort of thing – an explorer’s outfit for North Africa or the Sahara. Sahara West is the latest result.
The outfit has 10 pieces overall. Let’s see if I can count:
-Explorer’s blazer
-Khaki pants
-Khaki shorts
-Khaki skirt (base and flexi prims)
-Two-tone vest (on both the shirt and jacket layers)
-Floral patterned long-sleeve gauze top (on both the undershirt and shirt layer)
-Wool socks

New Main Store

Over the past weekend Max finished up my new main store in Eventide South and I moved in. It’s very roomy and my limited inventory looks a bit thin, but it’s a new home. Again a big thank you to Maximillion Grant and Polly Pavlova for offering and providing space in Eventide South.
Oh good, Choice has seen it.
I bet that blazer would look great with reddish brown hair, like say ETD Mahogany shade :-) That vest would probably look great with that brown Nyte N’ Day boho skirt.

My favorite part is the vest (havent seen too many of those in SL) and I love that floral gauze top! And I agree with CronoCloud, that I can see myself wearing the blazer with one of my dark chocolate hair colors or perhaps my dark auburn! :D THE NEW STORE LOOKS AWESOME!!!

As for what to make next that’s simple:
More Cowbell, I mean more jackets. :-)
